Zilker Park Clubhouse Wedding in Austin, Texas

This Zilker Park Clubhouse wedding was everything all weddings should be — spontaneous, wild, fun, and full of love! Claire found me on Offbeat Bride and when I heard about their wedding day plans — up on a hill with a view of the Austin skyline, pizza buffet, tiny pies for dessert, flower grandmas — I was so sold. These two have been together since they were 15 years old and they wanted their day to be focused on love and bringing people together. They had their two grandmothers be the “flower grandmas”, tossing petals as they came down the aisle, and had a friend dress up in a head-to-toe bear costume to be the “ring bear” (GET IT?). There was more vegetarian pizza from East Side Pies than we could possibly eat and the Tiny’s Tiny Pies were maybe the highlight of the whole day — I kept thinking of ways to sneak a second chocolate pecan pie without anyone seeing me! It POURED rain on and off the day of the wedding but they just went with the flow — I didn’t see either of them get stressed about it at all, and their friends and family stepped up in every way imaginable to move chairs, set up tables, and just do whatever needed to be done. The sweetest part? Claire’s mothers are lesbians and she wanted to wait until they were able to get married before her and Dylan tied the knot. She witnessed their union Christmas of 2015 so she knew it was finally time. 🙂 I freaking LOVED this day, heat and all, and my friend Hailey and I even got to spend an extended vacation in Austin as a result — one of the best cities ever!!
