This is Justine & Scott! Yes, we’re name twins, and she’s one of the ONLY other Justines I’ve EVER met. Fate! They found me on Offbeat Bride and I couldn’t have been more excited about the idea of heading to NYC (my first time ever!), especially after reading about the Onderdonk House. It’s located in Ridgewood, right on the border of Queens and Brooklyn, and it’s the oldest Dutch Colonial stone house in New York City. It’s literally this awesome house surrounded by an acre of land right in the middle of industrial Queens/Brooklyn. It’s delightfully out of place. This is Rachel & Derek! You might remember them from their Portland engagement session. The two of them met through a mutual friend and had a whirlwind romance, getting engaged very quickly (and happily!). Despite living in Maryland, they chose Maine as their wedding spot because of their close ties to the state — Derek growing up in Westbrook and Rachel’s parents being from the Mexico/Rumford area. They also both still have lots of family in Maine, and knew that the Sunday River area would perfectly combine their love for the state and their love for woodsy, nature-filled areas. They had their ceremony at the Artist’s Bridge in Newry, Maine……
