Sarah + Lizzie | Married! 08.19.12 | Grace Wedding

This is Sarah & Lizzie! Sarah found me on Offbeat Bride and was very interested in having me photograph their Portland wedding, letting me know up front that they were only looking for someone for a few hours, and that it would be a very casual day. I love casual! They were married at Grace, one of my FAVORITE spots in Portland. It was originally a church, built in the 1850s, and is now a bad ass restaurant and bar (and excellent wedding venue!). They were married in one of the rooms inside, and had their reception in the large main room of the building… such awesome character and decor already incorporated, they didn’t need to do much to decorate! We took a brief walk around Portland for their solo shots, doing a bulk of them BEFORE the ceremony (one of my favorite things ever!) and then escaping for a few minutes after the ceremony for some more. I absolutely loved their laid-back approach to the day, and enjoyed every minute of it — especially when their rockin’ band played “Big Poppa”. 😉
