Sara & Gearoid’s Wedding at Ski Esta in Newry, Maine!

Sara and Gearoid’s wedding at Ski Esta in Newry, Maine was such a fun-filled, hilarious, laid back day — everything you’d want in a great day! Sara got in touch with me after seeing another wedding I’d shot at Ski Esta. She said that her fiance, Gearoid’s, family would all be coming from Ireland so they wanted to be sure they got the photography right! She told me about how they had met while on a backpacking trip and I could just tell right away that these two were great friends on top of being in love. They chose Ski Esta not only for its beautiful location — they wanted to show Gearoid’s Irish family how gorgeous Maine can be! — but also so they could have everyone together longer than just the wedding day. Ski Esta as a venue is massive, just a huge gorgeous house, so there’s lots of room for fun and festivities all weekend (or week!) long. The day was exactly how Sara seemed to envision. The families and friends all coming together seamlessly, a beautiful outdoor ceremony with the mountains in view, and dancing and singing into the night (after some raucous toasts). They even had UK singer Kezia Gill flown in to sing a few songs for them (including one she custom wrote just for their day!).
