Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Family Session with Lauren & Josh!

This Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk family session was so much freaking fun — what’s better than playing games while you’re taking photos? Lauren & Josh flew me out to Santa Cruz for their nearby Davenport wedding, which was a dream come true! I always include an additional 2-hour portrait session with any destination wedding I photograph, and they chose to spend the evening before the wedding at the boardwalk with Lauren’s daughter, Claire, and it was an absolute blast. It was so great to get to know the three of them and the shoot was a perfect blend of some more posed family portraits but mostly lots of fun, casual candids — they played games, ran on the beach, put their feet in the ocean, built a sandcastle, played pass, and just had an awesome time enjoying the sunshine (as did I!). 🙂
