Mayo Street Arts Wedding | Johanna & Josh! | Portland, Maine
This Mayo Street Arts wedding with Johanna and Josh and their incredible family and friends was everything I love about this job. We started off the day with Johanna getting ready with some of her nearest and dearest at The Danforth Inn. It was extremely casual, with Johanna opting to do her own makeup and having friends and family style her hair for her, and there was SO MUCH laughter! Then we headed to Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth — one of my favorite beaches in the area! — for their intimate ceremony. They had a beautiful arbor set up — their friends were putting the finishing touches on when I arrived — and they had both beach chairs and blankets laid out for their guests. After a quick ceremony they hopped on Josh’s motorcycle and headed in town to Mayo Street Arts — a former church that is now a space for community art programs of all kinds — for the sweetest, most laid-back reception that was filled with a mac & cheese bar, some tear-filled toasts, casual lounging out in the courtyard, and, of course, impromptu puppet shows. 🙂
