This is Jillian & Clay! These two were initially contemplating an elopement to Costa Rica, but ended up deciding that the planning process was too daunting. They knew they were running the Portland Marathon on September 30th, and decided to get married the next day at Nubble Lighthouse in York Beach, Maine – about 10 minutes from where Jillian grew up! They had a very intimate celebration – about 10 people, right on the rocks, for a short ceremony, and then they headed to the York Harbor Inn for some drinks and dinner! It was a perfect day – just enough cloud cover for beautiful light, but no threat of rain, and not crowded at all. It was one of those weddings where I am truly reminded of how insanely awesome my job is – standing there on the rocks, listening to the waves crashing up, and realizing I’m one of only a small group who gets to witness their wedding ceremony. Pretty awesome!
