These head shots in Portland, Maine with The Junior League of Portland are always such an honor — this was our third consecutive year! It just gets more fun each time. The Junior League of Portland, Maine was founded in 1922 by twelve women and now boasts over 250 dynamic women dedicated to strengthening their community. From their website: “For nearly a century, Junior League of Portland, ME members have successfully identified the evolving needs of our under-served communities and developed solutions to meet those needs. Many of our past programs continue to this day, including the Trauma Intervention Program now managed by Maine Behavioral Health, the BackPack Program now managed by Good Shepherd Food Bank, and the Flower Show now managed by the Maine Landscape & Nursery Association. Some of our programmatic and funding initiatives flourished into charitable organizations that have transformed Maine’s not-for-profit sector, including the Children Museum and Theatre of Maine, the Center for Grieving Children, and the Kids First Center.” It’s such an honor to meet and work with such powerful, committed women and I hope to work with them for a long time to come!
