This is Esther & Brian! Esther found me on A Practical Wedding and told me all about their plans for a backyard wedding — their goal from the beginning was to keep things simple and fun. Esther and Brian met through Esther’s sister — they went to college together and Esther said when she heard about Brian she just KNEW she had to meet him. Her feelings were correct — they hit it off instantly and planned their wedding for their 7th anniversary of dating. 🙂 Esther got the surprise of finding out their were pregnant in the midst of their planning, so some things got shuffled around, but they were overjoyed to celebrate their wedding day with a little one in tow! We met up for their engagement session at Prescott Park in Portsmouth, one of my favorite spots in the area, on a delightfully foggy afternoon. They brought Amelia along for the shoot, which was a first for me, but I think it was just beautiful — I don’t think Esther & Brian could imagine sharing their love without having her there. 🙂 She was an absolute joy — she was quiet, happy, and smiley the whole shoot, and LOVED the camera!
