Eagle Mountain House Wedding in Jackson, New Hampshire

This Eagle Mountain House wedding in Jackson, New Hampshire, was glowing, happy, joyful White Mountain goodness! You might remember Tashia and Mike from their Arnold Arboretum engagement photos — they are just so sweet and in love, it almost hurts! Tashia found me originally through Britni and Ben, whose Cambridge wedding I photographed years ago. She told me about how her and Mike met while they were working in the same suite for sister companies (in jobs they both hated!) in downtown Boston. They would escape the office and take these little lunch dates together, and finally, in 2012, moved in together with their cat, Myles! Mike proposed on their 6-year anniversary while they were on a weekend getaway to the White Mountains — they had spent the day snowshoeing and driving around in the frigid cold and he proposed in front of the fireplace back in their room. So getting married in the White Mountains was an obvious choice, but they also wanted their families — mostly coming from outside of New England — to have a memorable trip! They chose the Eagle Mountain House because of its beautiful views and quirkiness, and chose October because, aside from both loving the fall, they spent a good portion of the night they met talking about Halloween costumes (my kind of people!). 🙂 It was a gorgeous day — outdoor ceremony in perfect weather, beautiful golden portraits, an awesome cocktail hour out on the front porch, and then a reception full of dancing and apple cider doughnuts! Amazing!
