Dane Estate Wedding in Chestnut Hill, MA

This Dane Estate wedding was so much fun — Katie & Marc may have chosen a very formal venue but these two are nothing but hilarious and fun! I knew this from their Portland engagement session — the two love to laugh and spend time with their pup and just BE together — and their wedding day was no different. Katie and Marc are avid runners and they actually met through their local running club, so the fact that they wanted to stop by a track during their couple photos and get some in-action shots was TOO PERFECT (especially since I’m a runner myself!). They also had various race bibs and photographs as their table numbers. It’s no surprise that they wanted a day that was stress-free, unposed, and FUN, and I was there to capture it all! Katie got ready with just a few family members at a local AirBNB and then we headed to St. Cecilia Parish in Boston for their ceremony (such a gorgeous church!). They did some family photos in the church and greeted their loved ones a bit and then we headed to the Dane Estate in Chestnut Hill! The mansion was built in 1891 and over the years more and more land was acquired until it reached 120 acres. Pine Manor College took it over in 1962 and it now hosts all kinds of special events! Despite it being such a large, formal, historic space, it has a very homey feel to it… and it’s gorgeous!
