These family photos on Mackworth Island were so great — Happy & Bryan were the sweetest, and their son, George, had the BEST time exploring! Happy was pregnant with their second child at the time, so this doubled as a family session and a sort of maternity session at the same time. 🙂 They chose Mackworth Island for a location — a tiny island connected to Falmouth by a causeway — which is one of my favorite spots in southern Maine. These family photos in Portland, Maine’s West End are some of my favorites ever — awesome parents, super happy baby, and a beautiful pup! I photographed Becky & Jim’s Tupelo Music Hall wedding way back in 2012 so it was a crazy honor to get to see them again and meet their son, Owyn, and their pup, Maggie! We did the photos in Portland since they were on their way up to Freeport to go camping, and it was pretty perfect. We just wandered around Portland’s West End and got photos with some brick walls, cute houses, and the best ivy ever!
