Brendan + Ellen | Proposal! | Cliff House Proposal | Ogunquit, Maine Proposal Photographer

This is Brendan & Ellen! Brendan got in touch with me back in March and let me know that he was planning to propose to his girlfriend, Ellen, on their trip to the Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine. Amazingly enough I had the date free (it was a Saturday in May), and I was SO EXCITED — I had never photographed a proposal before but always wanted to!!! We sent many e-mails back and forth (and chatted on the phone a couple times) and had every detail planned for the big day. I got there early and scoped out a good spot down on the rocky shoreline, which is where Brendan planned to take Ellen to pop the question. It was a GORGEOUS day — a little chilly and windy, but sunny with beautiful blue skies — and the rocks were almost deserted (except for me, trying to look as casual as possible with a crazy zoom lens on my camera). They made it down the staircase and onto the rocks, and he got down on one knee… and I snapped away from a safe distance. 😉 Afterwards we took some quick photos of the two of them — they were SO giddy and excited! — before I took off and let them enjoy their newly-engaged bliss. 🙂
