Maine Backyard Wedding in Parsonsfield | Hannah & Adam!
This Maine backyard wedding in Parsonsfield was even more magical than I expected it to be — Hannah & Adam are absolute GEMS. These two live and work in South Africa as part of the C.A.R.E. program — they rehabilitate chacma baboons! So they were planning VERY long distance, and with the help of family. I was lucky enough to not only meet them on one of their trips back to the US, but to do their engagement photos on another trip (they did them on Cliff Island since Adam spent summers there as a kid and his family still owns several houses out there!). They had their beautiful backyard wedding in Parsonsfield at Hannah’s grandfather’s home, right down the road from where her mother grew up. It was such a perfect, meaningful day. They had giant proteas, the official flower of South Africa, incorporated into their ceremony decor as well as Hannah’s bouquet. They had Hannah’s mom’s best friend officiate. They had Adam’s mother play music during the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Hannah’s father and Adam’s stepfather both read beautiful poems during the ceremony. It was just such an amazing collaboration between them and their loved ones!
