New England Aquarium Wedding | Alla & Alex!

This New England Aquarium wedding was so much fun — it’s not every day I get to see live penguins and sea lions while I photograph couples in love! You might remember them from their impossibly cute Boston engagement session. 🙂 These two met when they were only 12 and 13, if you can believe it, while they were at the same girls’ summer camp. Alla lived in DC and Alex lived in Boston, but they stayed in touch and were best friends all throughout high school. They both went to the University of Chicago for college, and the rest is history! They are both somewhat quiet and soft spoken, but extremely sweet and genuine — I loved exploring around Boston with them for their engagement session, and I was excited to return to Boston — and to the New England Aquarium! — for their wedding! I love that they got ready together — such an intimate time — and it was obvious how much they loved having their friends and family with them to celebrate. They had their ceremony under the covered space since it was a bit rainy and misty outside that day, and it was so cool that when they finished greeting their guests everyone could go and check out the penguins and squids while they enjoyed their cocktails and appetizers. 🙂
