This post is all about DETAILS! I won’t lie, it’s a big one. What can I say? My 2013 couples were freaking awesome at putting together meaningful details and gorgeous decor. This includes things like rings, place cards, cakes and desserts, flowers and bouquets, and all kinds of other awesomeness. I’ve also credited vendors wherever possible so if you want to snag one of these (or something similar) for your own wedding, check out their sites. 🙂
I loved their program holder, and the Scrabble tiles all over!One of my favorite ring shots, on one of the many mismatched salt and pepper shakers they had on display. 🙂More homemade goodies, and more horses!Their homemade scrapbook served as an awesome guest book — and featured some of the engagement photos I did for them. 🙂They had horses mixed in with the decor, as well as striped straws & pom-poms!Tracy’s bouquet was one of my favorites of the year — air plants from Seed to Stem in Worcester, MA!Old family photos, more incredible colored glass, and Sarah’s incredible bouquet!A nod to California, where Colin’s family is from, and colored mason jars!Cocktail napkins, striped straws, and quotes all over!The sign on the left guided guests to the ceremony, and they had touches of Maine, California, and Massachusetts, as well as gorgeous flowers by Season’s Downeast Designs in Rockport, ME.Map hearts strung throughout the reception tent, a gorgeous array of flowers, and tables named after various spots they love.Their incredible guest book, and flags adding to the atmosphere by the ceremony!Sarah & Colin’s dessert table was FANTASTIC, with cake from Sweet Sensations Bakery in Rockport, ME!Adorable napkins, amazing place cards, and good beer — what more could you want?They had an amazing strawberry shortcake bar for dessert — awesome!Sarah & Ben had their family’s old wedding photos on display all around the reception.They had gorgeous flowers and petals on display, and their lanterns gave the reception a cozy feel.Sara’s gorgeous bouquet, and their rings on a pumpkin — perfect for a November wedding!Sara & Chris had gorgeous details — I loved their birch tree cake with owl toppers!I can’t resist including this ring shot from Nikki & Jay’s engagement session — we hid from the rain in a botanical center, and I thought these bananas would be perfect. 🙂Meagan & Sage kept the decor simple for their Bar Lola reception!I love this ring shot from Mary & James’s engagement session!Their invitation — awesome — and Lucy’s shoes, Fluevogs!Their parents brought scrapbooks of their childhood photos, and they had place card spread out for guests to find.They had the most awesome dinosaur cake toppers. 😀Lucy & Chris had gorgeous decor to help with the naturally awesome atmosphere of their museum venue — table numbers and lanterns encircled with flowers!Bridesmaid bouquets — love!I loved her details — purple shoes (eee!), a rosary and coins, and her earrings.They had the sweetest sign at the gift table thanking their guests, and their cake was stunning (from Let Them Eat Cake in Kennebunk, ME).Lovely’s amazing purple bouquet from Little River Flower Farm in Buxton, ME!Lovely requested a ring shot on the day’s newspaper — voila!This sign was the focal point of the reception — so gorgeous!I loved their card table, complete with lovely flowers and a rustic card box.They made homemade moonshine for their guests, and had some of the most gorgeous, colorful flowers on the tables.They had an awesome sign pointing the way, and used an old window to show the seating arrangements!Liz’s bouquet was gorgeous — from Boynton’s Greenhouse in Skowhegan, ME.Liz & Rick really embraced the farm wedding aesthetic, which I love. Perfect!They had gorgeous rings, and I was able to find some great spots to showcase them!Their ceremony decor was gorgeous as well — leaves adorning the chairs, and flowers in fall hues.More vintage bottles for decor, and their fall-themed cupcakes!They had THE MOST INCREDIBLE zombie cake! Cake done by Glutenus Minimus in Belmont, MA, with zombie decorations added later. 🙂Kristian & Teddy had some awesome decor — vintage bottles, tree slices, amazing flowers, and their Jenga guest book!Leopard print lantern, always a good addition, and this giraffe guided the guests to the ceremony!They had a little elephant greeting everyone, a suitcase to hold the cards, and a safari-themed program!They had these little safari scenes on each table as a centerpiece — amazing!They went with a safari theme for the decor — seating chart & field notes book for their guest book!Keeley & Matt had DONUTS for their dessert! Provided by Allie’s Donuts in North Kingstown, RI.I loved Kari & Barry’s ring shots — first with their matching outfits, and second on a baseball in Fenway Park. 🙂Probably my favorite Save the Date EVER — how perfect is that!?Their incredible cake was made by a friend — amazing!They had Taryn’s race numbers as table numbers. 🙂Kaitlin & Taryn had the perfect combination of purple and green, with flowers from Durocher Florist in West Springfield, MA!Paper cranes hanging on the side of the tent, an amazing grassy display, and little blocks directing people to the guest book!They had so many awesome signs throughout the day!The groomsmen had the most awesome boutonnieres, and they had a hoppin’ photo booth during the reception, which ends up making decor as the night goes on!Justine’s brooch bouquet — so stunning.Justine’s shoes on the left — amazing — and her Vera Wang dress hanging in their incredible Brooklyn hotel room!The detail on the left is somewhat personal to me — Jeremy was in The Baltic Sea with my husband, Nate — and on the right are Jenna’s fantastic shoes!They also had bunting — love! — and colored pencils for their guests to use on the guest book. 🙂I loved the combination of their cake details — the design of the cake stand, the simplicity of a plain white cake with ferns etched on, and the yellow sash!Jeremy & Jenna had gorgeous, colorful flowers at their reception, and the most simple, perfect cake!I love this ring shot from Jenna & Jeff’s engagement session!Some of the details at their ceremony — a sign encouraging everyone to sit wherever they’re comfortable, the overall shape and design of the church, and banners hanging up on the walls.Jasmine’s gorgeous shoes!Jasmine had her gorgeous bouquet on display at the reception, and they had a photo booth done by Maine Event Photo Booth!They had crayons out for the kids, but I think some adults got in on the fun, too. 😉The gnomes on top were made by Jon’s grandfather, and I loved their LEGO cake toppers! They’ve got Jamie, Jon, and Jon’s son on there… so cute.Such gorgeous flowers, and colorful confetti. 🙂RAINBOW CUPCAKES! Done by Plum Sugar Bakery in Kingston, MA. They also had some awesome mason jar glasses for guests to use (and take home!).Jamie’s gorgeous bouquet, done by her best friend’s mom!They had old library drawers for cards to go in, and guests brought some very colorful gifts. 🙂Jamie & Jon had some awesome details. Their newspaper-style program for guests, the rain — a very important detail to set the mood! — and their ceremony spot!They also had fun games for their guests to play during the reception, including the “kissing game” — way more fun than just clinking glasses!Helen & Sean had an amazing table of photos as a memorial to loved ones who had passed away.Heather’s gorgeous bouquet, done by Fiddlehead Florist in Cape Elizabeth, and their lighthouse centerpieces!Heather & David’s ketubah!More lovely decor — I loved the starfish!Heather & David’s awesome cake topper, and their array of cupcakes!Heather & David had some gorgeous ocean-themed decor, including a station to put a note in a bottle for them to read later. 🙂Esther & Brian’s cake & cupcakes, done by Cafe Miranda in Rockport, ME!A shot of Esther’s engagement ring taken during their engagement session!
